Britain has some of the greatest sporting venues in the world and for the motor racing fan it is Silverstone. In World terms, there are few circuits that historically and emotionally rank in the same league and these include Monza in Italy and Indianapolis in the USA. Silverstone is not just Formula 1. Over the years, most forms of motorsport have raced on the seven circuits that Silverstone currently boasts. These include Grand Prix motorcycles, SuperBikes, Karts, FIA GTs, European Le Mans, RallySprint and stages of the Rally of Great Britain. These are in addition to the regular rounds of the British Touring Car Championship, British Formula 3 and GT and many club events for cars of all types and eras. One of the World-class major events is the International Historic Festival which was created at Silverstone which boasts top racing, and displays some of the world’s most historic cars.
