On entering the Sculpture Gallery via the only remaining section of the Henry Holland corridor, which linked the house to the rest of the complex, you can see some of the Greek and Roman sarcophagi, depicting scenes from classical mythology. These were acquired for the 6th Duke from the Aldobrandini Villa. In 1968 the sarcophagi and reliefs were moved to the Henry Holland Corridor and the majority of sculptures to the Abbey, which enabled the Gallery to be restored and converted to its present use, making it a magnificent setting for your function. All catering for the Sculpture Gallery, Lantern and Long Harness Rooms is carried out by our own staff, under the supervision of the Catering Manager. The Catering department at Woburn has been in operation from the late 1960`s.
